河内のQ太郎チームとマスターONO/ちり坊が優勝 第2回八尾ロボットコンテスト

◆第２回八尾ロボットコンテスト（主催・八尾経営・技術交流会マテック八尾）が、2010年２月13日、八尾市光町の近鉄八尾駅前のショッピングセンター・アリオ八尾１階のイベント広場で行われ、参加した10チームが大和川に見立てたコート内で、粗大ごみの模型などのごみを回収する競技に挑みました。

　マテック八尾（代表幹事・福田吉宏近畿ナルサ社長）が昨年から開催しており、今回で２回目。今年は大学チームも含めて10チームが参加しました。
　ロボコン競技と併せて会場では、大阪工業大学や大阪産業大学、奈良工業高等専門学校が製作したロボットで来場者に遊んでもらいう、市民とロボットが触れ合うコーナーが設けられていました。

　今回の課題は、大和川に放置された空き缶などのごみを、３分間の時間内に、いかに多くを回収できるか。
　ごみは３種類で、三角錐のごみは10点、立方体が４点、空き缶が２点と、それぞれ得点が決められており、総合得点で順位を決定しました。

◆競技は、日ごろはロボットにはあまり関わりを持っていないチームが参加するトーナメントＡと、ロボットを専門と企業や大学の人たちによるトーナメントＢに別れて行われました。
　参加チームは、マテック八尾の会員企業と地域の小中学生たちが一緒になってチームを作って、コンテストに参加するロボットを製作しました。

　競技に先立って「竹の子ジュニア ロボクワ△」の小学６年生の清水佳希君＝写真左＝が「物づくり精神にのっとり正々堂々と戦います」と選手宣誓をしました。






　コンテストでは、トーナメントＡで、去年の大会で最下位だった「河内のQ太郎」チームが優勝しました。

　またトーナメントＢでは、八尾市内のプリント基板プレス加工の藤原電子工業に勤める小野泰寛さんが個人で出場した「マスターONO/ちり坊」チーム＝写真右＝が、それぞれ優勝しました。

　河内のQ太郎のロボットは、工場の掃除にも改造できるというほど清掃機能が優れているといいます。
　またマスターONO/ちり坊は、１回戦で小野さんの勤務先のチームで、昨年優勝した実績を持つ「竹の子ジュニア ロボクワ△」と対戦し、ダブルスコアーでロボクワ△を退けました。

　競技に参加するロボットの製作費は15万円以下といった規定がありますが、ちり坊はわずか５万円に抑えています。あらゆるごみの回収に対応しており、重さは11Kg。


◆今回から海外チームも初参加しました。
　トーナメントＢに出場したペルーのサン・マルティン・ポーレス大学は、前日の２月12日夜に日本に着いたと話していました。彼らのロボットは無線操縦でブラシを回転させてごみを回収するもので、製作には３か月間をかけ「部品が満足に揃わず、玩具やラジコンを分解して部品を集めた」など苦労しながら完成、費用は６万円をかけたそうです。
　そうした努力に対して、審査委員長賞が贈られました。

　またトーナメントＡの審査委員長賞には「えだ豆君」も受賞。このほか技術賞に「若ごぼう」、アイデア賞に「オヤクッテマーズクッテマン」が選ばれました。
　奈良工業高等専門学校教授の早川恭弘さんは「前回よりもロボットのレベルは上がっていたようです。多くの子供たちにロボットに興味を持ってもらい、八尾の物づくりの発展につなげてもらいたい」と講評していました。

　主催者のマテック八尾代表幹事の福田さん＝写真左上＝は「子どもたちに物づくりの面白さをわかってもら、八尾の物づくり技術をPRするために昨年から開いています」と大会の趣旨を説明するとともに、今後は市内の中学へ出前授業も考えていることも話していました。

　また審査委員長で八尾市長の田中誠太さん＝写真左下＝は「八尾市は歯ブラシの生産が全国一であるなど物づくりに秀でた街です。八尾からお茶の水博士を誕生させてみたい」と、ロボコンへの期待を語っていました。







◆会場のアリオ八尾では、大学チームがロボットで子どもたちと遊ぶコーナーも設けていました。大阪工業大学は、自分たちでロボットを操縦してどちらが早くゴールにたどり着くか、といったゲームをしていました。
