紙コップ相撲ロボット大会 福島区で親子ら50組が参加

◆夏休み真っ最中の2009年８月９日、大阪市福島区の福島区民センターで、紙コップで相撲ロボットを作る「夏休みロボット教室 紙コップ相撲ロボット大会福島区民センター場所」が開かれ、親子など50組が参加して紙コップ相撲大会を楽しみました。

先生の説明を良く聞いて

　福島区コミュニティ協会が、大阪・日本橋のでんでんタウン電子工作教室の出前授業と協力して開いたものです。
　
　参加したのは、小学生低学年の男女。
　いずれもお父さんやお母さんと一緒に、講師の大野一廣さんの作り方の説明を聴きながら、紙コップを切ったり、テープで線をつないだり、紙コップに絵を描いたりするなど、１時間余りで作り上げました。

　相撲ロボットが出来あがると、用意された土俵で早速試合です。
　試合後には賞品のお菓子が渡されました。
　勝った人には２つ、惜しくも負けてしまったら１つだけですが、みんなうれしそうな顔をしていました。

品評会で一番に選ばれたロボット

一番に選ばれた気持ちは?

　最後に、誰のロボットが一番格好いいか、全員の相撲ロボットを並べて品評会です。
　「ぼくのロボットが一番や」などと、思い思いのロボットに投票していました。
　午後の部で一番投票数が多く１位に入賞した男の子は「手を大きくして、強いロボットを作りたかった」と、話していました。

携帯で２足歩行ロボットの操作も体験

　初めて電子工作を体験して面白かったという女の子は「相撲ロボットを夏休みの図工の宿題にする」と得意気に話していました。
　またこの日は、地元の西野田工科高校の無線電気研究部と情報技術部の生徒10人が、講師をサポートしました。
