Team OSAKA（チーム大阪）、ロボカップ2008世界大会・中国蘇州はソフト力で

◆米・アトランタで昨年行われた「ロボカップ2007世界大会」でヒューマノイドリーグ４連覇を果たした、大阪の企業や大学で作る「Team OSAKA（チーム大阪）」が、今年７月に中国・江蘇省蘇州市で開催される「ロボカップ2008世界大会」には、出場するロボットの動作などを制御するソフトの性能で勝負したいと、５連覇へ向けての意欲を見せています。

　第12回目になるロボカップ2008世界大会は、2008年７月に中国で初めて開催されます。世界各地から500のチームが参加すると見込まれています。

　チーム大阪は、前回のアトランタ大会では、それまでのロボットから各要素技術をレベルアップさせた「VisiON 4G」で出場し、見事、４連覇しました。
　VisiON 4Gは、専用サーボモータを開発し、トルクが約４40％アップさせるなど運動の安定性を向上させたほか、歩行ロジックを改良して歩行速度の30％アップ、全方位＋前方の２つのカメラを搭載することでコート全体を見渡せるようにしていた。

　今年の大会にもエントリーは済ませているが、「すでにロボットのハード的性能は一定のレベル以上にある」（大和信夫・ヴイストン社長）ことから、今回は新たなロボットの開発は行わずに、搭載するソフトの性能を向上させることで対戦能力を高めていく考えです。
