科学離れの原因は高校にあり　[調査・資料] [編集]

◆日本の高校生の科学嫌いは高校１年段階で受けている理科教育が、中学３年までと異なることが影響している－。
　国立教育政策研究所が、2008年１月末～２月に、全国の国公私立中学校のうち無作為に選んだ194校から89校（国立２校、公立83校、私立４校）の2994人のデータを集計しました。

　今回の調査で中学３年生の回答が、07年12月に行われた経済開発機構（OECD）の調査による日本の高校生の科学への関心より、10％以上高かったのは「科学の話題について学んでいる時は、たいてい楽しい」「科学についての問題を解いている時は楽しい」「科学についての知識を得ることは楽しい」「高校を卒業したら科学を勉強したい」などでした。

　「科学を学ぶことに興味がある」といった質問には、「そう思う」と答えたのは高１で50％でしたが、中３では62％になっています。
　また「科学を学んでいるときは楽しい」は、高１で51％、中３で69％でした。

　OECDの調査では、日本の高校生の科学への関心は世界各国で最低レベルでした。
　ところがこの調査では、中学３年生の時点で関心は持っていることがわかりました。
　同研究所では「高校１年段階で受けている理科教育が、中学３年までと異なり、難しいのが影響していると考えられる」と分析しています。
