大日本スクリーンと立命館大、ロボット技術開発の共同研究を開始

◆大日本スクリーン製造の技術開発カンパニー（津田雅也社長）と立命館大学が、このほど、ロボット技術開発に関する包括連携を図る協定に合意し、４月１日にプロジェクトを発足しました。
　2009年度中には、プロジェクトのシンボルとして「水中探査と水中ハンド制御が可能な潜水ロボット」を開発し、実証実験を行う予定です。


立命館大学のびわこ・くさつキャンパスに開設されたBKCインキュベータ

　プロジェクトでは、まず大日本スクリーンは、立命館大学のびわこ・くさつキャンパス（BKC）内に開発者が常駐する専用の研究拠点を開設。
　立命館大学の研究者と事業化へ向けた視覚システムを開発して、ロボット工学の主要研究分野の一つであるセンシング技術を研究します。
